Adelaide, 1853. Ephemera. Good. Printed hand bill of the Adelaide Society, during the tenure of President Sir H. E. F. Young whose term was 1853-54. The Society was founded January 10, 1853, for the diffusion of the Sciences and Arts, and with a goal of establishing a museum of natural history for South Australia. With listing of the members, and a list of 19 items under the Laws. Pale blue paper, single sided, measures 8 x 13 1/4", with 2 folds. Short cracks at folds, lower section detached, one small library stamp at verso.
