About This Item

Text is clean and unmarked in a square, bright, and tight binding. Only defect is a university received stamp on the half title page. This volume was never put in circulation and appears unused. The DJ has slight wear to the top spine and light smudging on the back. This is a bilingual edition translated by Mark Mccloskey and Paul R. Murphy. From the front DJ flap "George Herbert is well-known as one of the great religious 'metaphysical' poets of the seventeenth century. The gentleness and simplicity of his verse are often contrasted with the fire and complexity of Donne's."
