Creasing to fold flaps. Moderate creasing and small tears to jacket top edge. Light wear to jacket bottom edge. Gilt lettering debossed to deep aqua-green, cloth-covered boards. Black and white photographs and illustrations. Clean, tight, bright. 673 pp with map of Georgia counties, bibliography and sources, short biography of Chief editor and writer, and indices. This book is about Georgia newspapers, Georgia, and Georgians -- and about how newspaper publishers, editors, writers, and readers in Georgia have changed. Stories about Ralph McGill and Eugene Patterson, the great Atlanta editors, Charlie Black of Columbus, one of the great reporters of the war in Vietnam and others.
