Cracks to guttering throughout, with exposed netting. Some rub-marking and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers with inscriptions to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed. Clipped jacket has light edge-wear with minor tears and chipping. Moderate tanning and creasing, with rubbing and marking. Water stains overall.

Slim 8vo, navy blue cloth with silver titles, 93pp. Stated second impression, October 1942. Price clipped dust jacket shows toning to panels, light chipping to edges. Binding sound and sharp, interior clean. The final collection of essays by Eric Gill, collected from Blackfriars, Catholic Herald, and other publications, expounding his distributist philosophy in the relationship of man to work and industry to art. Illustrated with woodcuts by Gill and an introduction by his wife Mary Gill. A handsome copy in mylar.

In overall very good used condition in a good dust jacket with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - dust jacket darkened and rubbed to edges with a couple of small nicks and chips (now protected); blue cloth boards clean and crisp. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read; no annotation or inscriptions; text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.
