About This Item

Chicago: Paul Theobald, 1944. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good +/Missing. 228 pp. 4to. Blue cloth over boards with silver spine lettering. First Edition of a classic that has gone on to over a dozen printings. Not a beach read. As far as we can tell, this book both formalized a movement that was in progress and pushed it forward at the same time. Maybe. Copiously illustrated with diagrams, reproductions of contemporary art works, photographs, advertisements, and visual examples garnered from popular culture. Book Condition: Very lightly scuffed, spine ends show minor fraying else fine. Dust Jacket missing.
