African Jamaican novelist. Refugee scientist on Hearne's fictional island, "Cayuna." Endsheet maps of Cayuna. Hearne's dedication page pays homage to Edna Manley of Jamaica, Frank Collymore of Barbados and Arthur Seymour of British Guiana.
