London: T. Nelson and Sons, 1905. Octavo. . Frontispiece, 718pp., illustrated with tissue guards present. This edition was designed for the British readers which takes us over a part of Southern Syria and over Palestine, but in a direction opposite to that pursued by most travelers. Given as a gift presented by the Governors of Christ's Hospital to A.W. Cockmill for Deputy Grecians class examination July, 1921. A beautiful copy bound in full tree calf trimmed in gilt, raised bands with compartments beautifully stamped in gilt, brown morocco spine label gilt, marbled endpapers(renewed at some point) all edges marbled, no foxing except a few spots to endsheets, clean and fresh internally.
