First edition of this novel by the author of Dracula .324 pp.of story text and four pages of adverts including one for a New Edition of Bram Stoker's Dracula; additional 16 pages of publisher's catalogue.,all in clean condition just some slight browning to first and last couple of pages, presentation stamp on title page..Frontis and five other full page co;lour plates.all present as listed , frontispiece is in list as opposite page 294 but is used as frontis in all first editions. Has all first issue points. Cheiro's memoirs is advertised on the first page of ads stating that it will be ready shortly.Publisher's address given as 164 Aldersgate Street, London, E.C. , not Cathedral House, Paternoster Row, London, E.C. NO dustwrapper, outer boards are a little marked, light rubbing to top and bottom of spine, stamped design to front and spine, gold lettering is slightly dulled but still clear and attractive, one small dent to both top and bottom edges of front board. The Lair of the White Worm (also known as The Garden of Evil) is a horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker, who also wrote Dracula. It is partly based on the legend of the Lambton Worm. The book was published in 1911 by Rider and Son in the UK, the year before Stoker's death, with color illustrations by Pamela Colman Smith. In 1988, it was adapted into a film by Ken Russell.
