About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers, 1929. Cloth. Very Good. The uncommon 1929 Salesman's Sample of E.B. White's 2nd book (and 1st credited book), following his 1927 "Less Than Nothing -- or The Life and Times of Sterling Finney". Solid and VG in its dark cloth, with a bit of light rubbing at the title label and light spotting to the panels. Thin octavo, consists of only 6 pgs. of text ("the following pages are samples from the text") plus a pre-publication box in which price and exact publication date are still to be determined. A fragile, very early, wonderful E.B. White piece.
