Hardcover. 12mo. 18cm, first edition, 78,2p., publisher's ads., dark blue cloth, gilt titles, uncut, near fine (lt). ~ The poem "Lachrymae Musarum" was written on the death of Tennyson in 1892. William Watson (1858 1935) was considered for Poet Laureate but was passed over for Alfred Austen. This collection includes "Lines of Our New Censor" written on Oscar Wilde's leaving England for France. Watson (1858 1935) was noted for political content in his poetry.
