About This Item

New York: Labor Research Association, 1936. Newsletter. Nine consecutive issues in this limited run, 8-10 pagination, newsletter format with single staple binding in upper left corner, mild handling wear, staples a tad rusted, else very good. Not to be confused with the modern post-1970s Labor Notes out of Detroit, this LRA publication lasted until 1942. The politics reflected generally support for the New Deal and the mass organizing of the CIO after 1936.

Established in 1981 in San Francisco, we specialize in books and ephemeral materials related to the history of Labor and other social movements, including the struggles for Black and Chicano equality, the Gay liberation movement, Feminism, and Asian-American activism, as well as the Far Right. In recent years Bolerium has expanded into materials in non-western languages, especially from East Asia, and has also placed more emphasis on ephemera, with tens of thousands of original leaflets, pamphlets, and posters in stock.
