The text is illustrated with colour and black-and-white drawings by Margaret Senior. Coloured illustrated boards, again by Margaret Senior with black coloured titles to the front panel. The story of the life-cycle of black swans.   Rubbing to the back strip edges and book corners and lower book edges. Some insect damage to the back strip along with sunning. Marks and rubbing to the book panels. Age toning and some handling marks to the pages with the underlying webbing visible as if a previous owner has over opened the book at some stage. The lower right-hand corner of pages 7-13 have become a little dogeared. There is no easily found publication date, but, the National Library of Australia puts the publication date at 1957.
