About This Item
Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1957. Book. Good. Hardcover. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. First Edition. The dust jacket was formerly in a mylar protector (this was NOT an ex-library book) that had black paper edges. This has left a black ring arount the top and bottom of the boards. The black goes t hrough to the first and last few pages - but does not effect the text. Tape marks on the false title page and second to last page (blank). Aside from these horrible defects, the book is square, tight and clean, and would make an excellent reading copy. The jacket has an overall waviness that appears to be moisture damage. The original prince of $3.50 is crossed out in red pencil and "99" is writte n in red. There is a 1.5" closed tear on the rear bottom and other more minor edgewear. 310 pgs..
