Please feel free to ask for particulars and/or additional photographs. ... Kisho Kurokawa was a leading Japanese architect and one of the founders of the Metabolist Movement. Born in Kanie, Aichi, Kurokawa studied architecture at Kyoto University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1957. He then attended University of Tokyo, under the supervision of Kenzo Tange. Kurokawa received a master's degree in 1959. Kurokawa then went on to study for a doctorate of philosophy, but subsequently dropped out in 1964. Kisho Kurokawa was conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Architecture by the Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia in Sept. 7, 2002.

The text is illustrated with numerous colour photographs and black-and-white architectural plans throughout the text. White coloured boards with self embossed titles to the backstrip. Some bumping to the lower book edge and to the backstrip edge. A few handling marks to the book panels. Colour photographic dustwrapper with a silver background with white, red and black titles to the front panel and black and red titles to the backstrip. Creasing and rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and dustwrapper panels. There is a particularly nasty crease/rub to the top left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel.
