About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1935. Bound in the publishers cream cloth with gold title lettering to spine. The 285 pages are in fresh, clean condition throughout and are squarely bound. Discreet gift inscription to front end paper otherwise interior of book remains very presentable. Extensive black and white photographs and index to the rear of book. Colour photographic frontispiece of the King broadcasting at Sandringham to the front of the book remains in fine condition. Book sits solid and square. Housed in the matching cream dustwrapper with raised title lettering to front and spine and publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Light signs of handling to the dustwrapper and browning a little with age otherwise in very tidycondition. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. The photograph provided is a picture of the book and the dustwrapper and we are happy to send more images on request. A lovely copy of this increasingly scarce John Buchan title portraying the first 25 years reign of King George V written in honour of his Silver Jubilee.. First Edition. Near Fine/Very Good.
