Each page of verse has a lovely detailed pictorial border by Stilwell and there are 9 fine color plates plus pictorial endpapers and other smaller line illustrations - all featuring small children and most with the theme of the child's kiddie-kar rider as well. A rare children's book by this Brandywine artist, especially in the dust wrapper.
