XI, 124pp., a synopsis of the orders, index to genera, preface to second edition, preface to first edition, index, vernacular index and glossary. Map frontispiece. The text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations and line drawings. Blue textured boards with gilt writing on the front panel and spine. Bumping, rubbing and fraying to the corners of the book and to the head and to the heel of the spine. Some marks to the book panels and the spine has been sunned. Shelf wear evident to the lower edges of the book. Browning and dust marks to the paper edges. Offset tanning to the endpapers, and there are a grubby marks as well. Original owners in name and markings on the ffep. Slight browning internally. A guide to the birds of Australia and to their habitats circa 1900. Second Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
