London: Unpublished Photographs, 1972. No Binding. Very Good. (38x31cm) On-set large format vintage photograph of the director Ken Russell giving - or perhaps taking - direction from the co-star of his movie about Gaudier Breska, Savage Messiah. (Scuffing to edges, otherwise very good) On the verso is Ken Russell's oval ownership stamp: 'The K-S Russell Collection', no photographer given. Ken Russell's film dramatisation of the obsessional relationship between the young French artist Henry Gaudier (Scott Antony) and Sophie Suzanne Brzeska (Dorothy Tutin), was scripted by Christopher Logue and followed the cultish triumph of his film, The Devils.
