Hardback: 12 photographic colour plates plus illustrated title page, covers are a bit grubby, edges rubbed and corners worn, cloth spine is slightly worn on the tips, front flyleaf removed, half title is discoloured and the small illustration is coloured in, internal marks, most pages have tears which have mostly been repaired with either glue or tape or paper, it looks like the frontispiece is missing but from all references I have found there should be 12 colour plates and they are all present, illustration and border on the last page neatly coloured in, overall a well read copy. obl folio, 29pp (+ colour plates).

London, George G. Harrap, 1927.. FIRST EDITION 1927, 220 x 270 mm, 8¾ x 10½ inches, cloth backed pictorial boards illustrated and lettered blue, orange, black and white, 30 pages. Coloured frontispiece and 11 colour plates, all delightful photographs of scenes with dressed dolls in various activities. Text and verses by Fyleman. Cloth spine expertly strengthened at head and tail, corners slightly worn and slightly dusty, a few minor marks, inner hinges expertly strengthened and endpapers replaced, half-title and last page faintly foxed, several short closed tears to lower margins, all repaired neatly with archival tape, one closed tear just affecting lower edge of image (background only and no loss of image), 1 plate has very slight crease mark, plate margins faintly yellowed at edges.
