Good to Fair cloth-bound hardcover with spots of wear to the tips exposing the boards, wear to the spine ends, moderate soiling and marks to the front and back covers, book plate to the front paste down, previous owner's name to front paste down and ffep dated 1929, a couple of stray marks inside but otherwise clean; binding solid, lacking dj; a nice reference copy. Wiese wrote and illustrated 20 children's books himself (Karoo being his first), winning the Caldecott Medal for Children's Literature twice and a Newbery medal.
