No dust jacket. Inside the front and back cover there is some damp staining (see the last two pictures). There is a slight indentation on the front cover. Otherwise, the book book is bright, clean, and unmarked. Most of the maps are black and white.

Profusely illustrated work on the history of cartography in Kansas. Though the book is listed under the authorship of Baughman it is certain that Morgan was responsible for most or all of this work or substantial editing. A typewritten draft of the manuscript in his style and with his editing resides in the Morgan Papers at the Bancroft Library. It is unquestionably of his creation. He does at least appear at the head of the list of acknowledgments. Saunders 35.
