Hare, whose black-and-white bookplate graces inside front flap, and apparently a presentation copy to Arthur Hare from Arthur [KROK illegible]. Stated First Edition of a just, due homage to the Kangra Valley painting tradition of the Rajput region of India. Bound simply but sturdily in tall quarto hardcover format in light brown buckram cloth, tips bruised but unbroken, blind-stamped title to cover and spine, a bit soiled along edges, text a bit wavy, but clean and bright of interior. Replete with 40 fine full-color Kangra Valley paintings, tissue-guarded and with printed captions. Decorated endpapers front and rear. Foreword by W.G. Archer, with an Introduction by M.S. Randhawa. A collection of still-vibrant painting reproductions delightful to look at.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
