Prague: R. Rejman, 1927. Small octavo (16 × 11.4 cm). Original decorative wrappers; [40] leaves. A very good copy. Scarce collection of good-natured, but witty parodies of contemporary Czech political life, including the communists, fascists, republicans, workers and bourgeois, as well as leading figures of the Czech avant-garde, such as Teige (whose name appears in a funny "advertisement" for "the latest and best Parisian products", as well as in a satirical epitaph of Karel Teige, which explaines "teigeism" as a conglomerate of various -isms, such as "dadaismus, futurismus, konstruktivismus..." and, finally, "idiotismus." Bělohlávek (1902-1991) was a musicologist, writer, and film critic, later cultural attaché at the Czech embassy in London. Wrappers designed by Stanislav Roch. Vloemans 85. Outside the Czech Republic, KVK, OCLC show the copies at the University of Toronto, NYPL, UvA Library, and SLUB Dresden.
