His Wikipedia entry notes the Ph.D. he earned in 1916 from Uppsala University in 1916 and long career teaching. He is known particularly for his work unraveling skeins of antisemitism and for the history of Jews in Sweden. A center for the study of Jewish history and culture is named after him.
