From the original manuscript in the archives of Mexico, translated into English, Edited, and Annotated by.Marguerite Wilbur. Minimal markings (title page and spine only). Salvatierra established Spanish control of the California Peninsula in 1697 with the founding of La mision at Lore to which served as the mission base of the 1769 Galvez-Serra Expedition which resulted in the establishment of the Alta California chain of missions and was, until the Anglo Conquest of 1846, the conn ecting link between the Franciscan and Dominican Missions south of San Diego, then in Mexico..
