London: Elkin Mathews & Marrot, 1932. Gilt title and owl motif on blue cloth boards. Spine age darkened but boards are clean with just a touch of wear to spine head and tail. Internally clean and unmarked with a little foxing to some early pages. Overall a Good + copy. Translated by H. J. Stenning. 244pages. Portrait of King Jerome to frontispiece and 15 other portraits. The king in the title is Jerome, Napoleon's profligate younger brother, who was given the newly created Kingdom of Westphalia. He fought at Waterloo. 1. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
