Viking Press, 1938. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good+. Signed. First revised (and first trade) printing. SIGNED, without inscription, by Erskine Caldwell on the half title page. The volume is gently toned on the spine, has bumped spine ends, a small bookseller's label on the rear poastedown, and the armoral bookplate of collector, Rolland Comstock, on the front pastedown under the jacket flap. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, lightly wrinbkled on the edges, very lilghtly sunned on the spine, and has shallow corner chips.
