Bartholomew Figures Moore (1801-1878) was a North Carolina attorney and politician and was largely a Union loyalist during the Civil War He was born in Halifax County and graduated from UNC in 1820 and was a trustee of the University 1840-1868 and then again from 1871 until his death. The jackets show moderate rubbing and wear with some scuffs and brief edge tears and chips. Jackets are sound and complete. A sound set with secure inner hinges and clean text. The half title page in both volumes has been signed by Lindley Butler, a NC historian. Contains several illustrations. Complete 2 volume set. Volume I is dated 1980; Volume II is dated 1981.
