Rubbed top joint with starting, rear joint rubbed at top half with edge and corner wear and mild scuff to boards. Light foxing to pastedowns and facing heavy endpapers (with additional heavy eps fine at both ends). Foxed tissue guard with leaching to title page top and Mr. W's mantle flaps and chest; text near fine. Whitefield has Editor's Preface, Introduction (biographical), and Preface of James Hutton [Editor], Temple-bar of August 18, 1738. Journals herein: Part I (London-Gibraltar), Part II (Gibraltar-Savannah) [aka London-Savannah in 2 Parts], three 'Continuations' -Savannah-London, -London-Georgia, and -Detained in England by the Embargo, then "Sequel" (to America, December 1737-August 1739). Ferguson has the bound Published by Hunt and Clarke, London 1826* title page with Introduction and Sequel.
