London: Society for Psychical Research [circa 1976]. (Hardcover) 428pp. Very good plus, no dust jacket. Multiple periodicals rebound in orange cloth with a previous owner's name in gilt lettering on the front cover. Graphs, tables, notes, photographs. There is minor ink underlining and notation in the last periodical. "No concept of survival, religious or otherwise, can be reconciled with modern science if we use the world 'science' in the usual restricted sense of 'the sciences', and when we use the expression 'modern science' we generally mean the sciences" - from "Can Religious Concepts of Survival be Reconciled with Modern Science?".
