Hardcover. Fair. THIS IS A PROJECT FOR SOMEONE. The spine cover will need to be replaced. Spine break first page and next to last page. LEFT AS IS TO FACILITATE REPAIRS. Cover wear is pretty heavy as well and does have a bit of staining. This is a really interesting book. All of the pop ups appear to complete, apart from the first one which seems to be missing a large tree. The pop ups have separated, so they no longer "pop". As I said, this is for someone who enjoys a bit of a challenge. Spine cover [blue cloth] lightly reattached with tape. The illustrations [pop ups] are great. The story is qiuintiscential for the time period. So cool!

First Edition -- numbered 2921 on front cover with 1940 only copyright. Cloth backed pictorial boards. Light edge wear and small sticker removal scar on front cover, else a nice copy. "Building a Playhouse" pop-up complete but needs repair to make it stand up. All other pop-ups fine. NOTE: We have two copies of this title with variant background color covers.
