Text: folio, self-wrappers; map and text in paper band ; both within a brown paper-covered chemise which is encased in an open-ended paper-covered slipcase, spine and front cover paper labels ONE OF 500 COPIES.The original was drawn by Patrick Henry's father and engraved in London by Jeffreys, the Royal Georgrapher who had also engraved the Fry/Jefferson map and Mitchell's map of British and French possessions in 1755. Money for this venture was by public subscription; the Virginia Assembly refusing to fund it. This was the first map to show county boundaries; but is filled with numerous errors (Stephenson & McKee). The original is of the utmost rarity
