Published to mark Johannesburg's centenary this large coffee-table sized thorough celebration of the city is in largely very good condition. The dustjacket, however, has suffered from handling and shelving with many closed tears and wear marks about its extremities. The dj front and back covers are much marked and worn. The body of the illustrated dj front cover is still vivid and atmospheric. The brown cloth cover is in general good condition. There is wear about the spine edges and corners from use and shelving. The bottom front spine edge has a crush depression which has transferred to the pages beneath. The front cover has some user wear.
