About This Item

The Hague: The Johan Maurits van Nassau Stichting, 1979. Hardcover. 539p., fine presswork on glazed alkaline paperstock, numerous b&w period reproductions and 16 sensitively-copied color-plate studies of Brazilian fauna. Massive hardbound in 12x8.5 inch openweave brown cloth boards titled & decorated in gilt & black. Spine lettering is rubbed but legible; a spotty splash-stain mildly affects lower half of spine panel. A former dealer pencilled her price on a flyleaf, we have left it as it agrees with ours. No other surprises, a very good sound copy. Laid in loose find several relevant ephemeral thingies.
