Blue title block on spine; gilt letering. NO DUST JACKET. xvii, 98 pp. followed by 92 bw plates on glossy paper. Volume XXXVII in the Princeton Monographs in Art and Archaeology series. Joachim Patinir (1480-1524), also called Patenier, was a Flemish Renaissance painter of history and landscape subjects. He was Flemish, from the area of modern Wallonia, but worked in Antwerp, then the centre of the art market in the Low Countries. (Wikipedia).
