This is a three volume set. American Patriot has slate gray cloth spine, black boards; light rubbing and a few spots of white discoloration to both boards, silver and dark orange stamping to front board and spine remains bright. Burgundy top edge; slight toning/foxing to fore-edge and bottom edge; toning to blank endpapers. Interior pages are, overall, quite clean. Binding is firm. Previous owners stamp occurs on front board and Hudson Strode's signature occurs on front page. Confederate President has dark red cloth spine, deep purple boards; silver and black stamping to front board and spine remains bright. Bluish-gray top edge; slight foxing to fore-edge and bottom edge. Light gray endpapers with front endpapers having map illustration "Theater of Operations in the East 1861-1865" and rear endpapers having map illustration "Theater of Operations in the West 1861-1865." Some foxing to b/w frontispiece portrait leaf with adjoining pages affected likewise. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Tragic Hero has Light blue cloth spine, dark aquamarine boards; silver and black stamping to front board and spine remains bright. Dull green top edge; touch of foxing to fore-edge and corners. Faint toning evident to aquamarine endpapers; some foxing to b/w frontispiece portrait leaf with adjoining pages affected likewise. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is loose but still intact. This set of 3 books will require additional postage with this purchase.
