Red cloth with front cover color paste down and black tiles to the spine. In French. This copy is VG in a VG, unclipped ($ 1.25), Mylar protected DJ. Exterior is rich and clean with moderate/modest edge wear , bottom spine frayed, and front gutter weakening. Inside is unmarked, crisp and firmly bound. Minimal toning and scattered light foxing. DJ is clear and rich with minimal wear to the tips, spine ends, even less to the edges. One 1/2" closed tear to the mid top back. Very nice..

A small book (4 3/4th" x 3 1/3rd") with three quarter leather binding and marbled paper. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. There is some light rubbing to the spine ends, spine joints and corners of the book covers and some noticeable rubbing to the marbled paper covers. The text pages are mostly clean and bright. Size 24mo, 5" x 3", 252 and 220 pages. Bound in full mid brown calf with gilt division bands to the spine with gilt titles on red morocco labels in the second and volume numbers on black morocco labels in the fourth compartments. Gilt Thistle motifs in the remaining compartments. Gilt hatched lines to the cover edges, marbled page edges. Condition very good, corners and edges rubbed, front hinges a little weak, internal condition near fine, the pages are very clean throughout with no foxing. Each volume contains an additional engraved title page, each with an engraving drawn by Corbould and engraved by W. Finden.
