[x] & 124 pp. Full-page B&W illustrations & B&W head-pieces by John Atherton. The contents are near fine. <p>First edition.<p>"The adventures of Sir Jaufry of Normandy were being sung by the troubadours of southern France three centuries before Malory wrote his Morte d'Arthur. Consequently, this story forms one of our earliest pictures of English knighthood....'Jaufry the Knight' was written by an unknown twelfth-century troubadour." - From the dw copy.<p>Scarce, especially so with the dust jacket.
