New York, NY: The Macmillan Company, 1935. 2nd. HB. Good/None. 8vo. Hader. Life for a black child Òfrom the bushÓ in colonial Jamaica, who wants to receive an education. Lovely color and black and white illustrations throughout. NOT ex-library. Sturdy green cloth, with wear to edges and corners. Lower quarter of spine is quite worn and the lowest area of the spine is worn through. The paste-ins show a lovely panorama in brown and white of market day. The title page and several others have some areas of toning, while the entire internal pages are free from marks and any writing.
