Description:
New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1935. 1st Edition. Cloth. Fine/Good. 8vo., 275pp. Beautiful First Edition. Bound in publisher's deep purple cloth with titles in gilt on spine and skull and dagger motif in gilt on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a hint of edge-wear. Remarkably well-preserve with no fading to gilt as is common. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00), has a touch of soiling and edge-wear. Would be almost Fine save for the long closed tear on the inner edge of the rear panel. Still quite fresh and bright and quite uncommon in any condition. An exceptional copy of the book itself and scarce in this condition. . (Hubin, p.209).
