A remarkably fresh copy of the scarce hardcover book, neatly signed in ink on the ffep by Jackie Robinson, the author of My Own Story ("as told to" Wendell Smith). Rare, thus. No other internal writing or marks, save the store stamp of Lord's Sport Shop of Montreal under Robinson's signature on the ffep. Mildly sunned at spine, binding solid, condition is very good indeed. As reported in the August 6, 1974 issue of the Montreal Gazette, Lord's Sports Shop went out of business after more than 35 years, as longtime owner Myer Insky declared bankruptcy. Also laid in is a postcard of Robinson's dugout pose, bearing his "in the plate" autograph in the border of the photograph..
