London: SPCK, c1897. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 9" by 7". Randolph Caldecott. A collection of short, illustrated tales aimed at children. In the original pictorial cloth binding. Being Jackanapes, Daddy Darwin's Dovecot, Lob Lie-By-The-Fire. With charming illustrations throughout by Randolph Caldecott. Undated, dated using Copac. Randolph Caldecott was an English artist and illustrator. He was a leading influence in children's illustrations during the nineteenth century. In original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the extremities as well as to the head and tail of spine. Light rubbing to the joints and to the extremities. Design to the front board is faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to the edges. The odd spots to pages. Very Good Indeed
