A limited edition copy of Franc Nohain's novel. Published in French. The present copy is one of fifteen numbered copies printed on Japanese paper. As well as publishing poetry and novels under the pseudonym Franc-Nohain, Maurice Étienne Legrand was also a librettist, best known for his libretti for Maurice Ravel's opera L'heure Espagnole. This uncommon novel begins with a conversation about hairstyles between a mother and her son. In a quarter calf binding over decorative boards. Externally, rather worn. The spine is missing an inch of calf to the head, and the top spine label is just starting to lift. Rubbed to the front joint, with a tear from halfway down the rear joint to the tail of the spine.
