This copy has been signed on an otherwise blank leaf [between the front flyleaf and the half-title leaf] by the translator, Paul Leyssac. Green cloth-textured boards with black lettering/decoration/design, top edge stained reddish as issued, 305 pages, illustrated [including pictorial endpapers]. "An entirely new translation of a number of Hans Christian Andersen's best stories, including many of the short amusing ones which are not as well known as they deserve to be". Very good copy with spine ends lightly bumped, paper starting to tan, in price and corner clipped Dust Wrapper with toned spine that is frayed at the head and chipped at the heel rear corner, with creasing and tears repaired n the reverse with tape. clphE
