Mild jacket edgewear, with a couple tiny edge chips and spine a tad age toned; endpaper gutters toned as usual. A handsome, tight and lovely first edition. A charming blend of cartoons and calligraphed text of Derleth's folksy poems.

Spine very slightly faded, endpapers age-darkened, book is clean and sound. Unclipped dust jacket is torn along folds, darkened and chipped, but is overall complete. A comics-like pencil sketch by Clare Dwiggins INSCRIBED AND SIGNED "Dwig" on front pastedown. Text is profusely illustrated throughout by Dwiggins.
