Complete with 59 engraved plates (including a hand-colored folding map) and a second large, hand-colored folding map at rear of Vol. II. Errata page is present. Old calf over marbled boards (rubbed), tips worn. Spines in 6 compartments with raised bands; gilt. A few of the plates are foxed. A very attractive wide-margined copy. Lowndes says that the editor's annotations and notes are particularly valuable . Lowndes, p. 896.
