London: The Paul Mellon Foundation, 1968. Book. Fine. Hardcover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Two volumes in slipcase. Pale blue cloth with title in gilt on spine. Condition: Fine, bindings sound. Both volumes bear the previous owners name (an art dealer) at the top of the front endpaper. Vol. I reproduces as exactly as possible the pages (33pp.) in the sketchbook without attempting to match the paper used, so all images are in grey and Vol II is 56pp. of text including an introduction by Denys Sutton and 58 b/w illustrations. The slipcase is in good condition with general light shelfwear..
