A very good copy of the book, front hinge a bit tender, in a attractive but somewhat worn dust-jacket. An extremely useful reference beautifully illustrated. The edition was printed in tribute to Bernard Berenson, still today regarded as one of the words leading experts on the subject. The text is reprinted from 4 of his essays published originally from 1894 to 1907.
