Illustrator: Claire Simpson. 600 g; 248 pages, with decorated end pages, and gilt decorated front board. Colour illustrated photographic dustwrapper. The dust jacket is now in 3 parts, with some loss. Now protected. The book itself shows no signs of damage, aside from age darkening of the edges of the text block. . These are vivid studies of Melanesia, present fact systematic as fiction, true stories as beguiling as romance. Previous owner's name stamp on the front paste down, and on the title page Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Claire Simpson.
