Previous owner's bookplate on front endpaper: Oliver Henry Perkins. Frontis. portrait of Holmes. Slight foxing on side edge, and on side margin of 2 pages, otherwise interior is tight, clean and VG.. Black and white portrait frontispiece. Ex library copy with associated labels, inserts, stamps and annotations. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing, fraying and tearing to spine ends and edges. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front.
